The cat eye works with light and changes with the movement of the hand, while the flash particles can instantly transform an elegant manicure into a radiant look. All it takes is a different lighting, a different viewing angle, or a different arrangement of particles for Bold & Beautiful to reveal a new version.

The creamy consistency allows for even application, and the magnetic formula gives you the freedom to create the effect before curing. You can opt for a classic luminous streak or experiment with magnets to create your own cat eye.

Bold & Beautiful – a cat eye flash that loves to be the center of attention

In this look, the light does all the work. You can move the magnetic particles over the uncured layer of polish, focusing them in a specific spot or creating a more diffused glow. This allows the same Gel Polish to look slightly different every time.

The magnetic reflection is complemented by a flash effect, which is particularly striking under intense light. The result? A manicure that changes character depending on the conditions—one moment more subtle and elegant, the next significantly more shimmering.

How to get the cat eye effect?

With Bold & Beautiful, you decide where the light appears. After applying an uncured layer of polish, hold a magnet up to your nail and observe the movement of the magnetic particles. By changing its position, you can shift the reflection, focus it in a specific spot, or achieve a more diffused effect.

There's no need to stop after the first application. As long as the polish isn't cured, you can continue working with the magnet to adjust the effect. Once the particles are arranged exactly as you want, cure the design for 30 seconds in the MultiLed lamp.

 

Application tips 

Wash and disinfect your hands and the client's. Put on gloves. Assess the condition of the client's hands and nails to ensure there are no contraindications to the procedure.

  1. Push back the cuticles with a hoof or stick and work them with cutters.
  2. Use a buffer to thoroughly matt the plate.
  3. Remove dust with a soft brush.
  4. Using a dust-free cotton swab and Cleaner No. 1, thoroughly degrease the plate.
  5. Apply the appropriate primer – Acid Free Primer or Acid Primer.
  6. Apply a thin layer of your chosen base and cure it for 30 seconds in the MultiLed lamp.
  7. Apply a second, thicker coat of base coat to gently smooth or build up the nail, if necessary. You can smooth the base coat with a thin brush, such as Master Nail Art 007, or turn your hand to use gravity to shape the upper arch of the nail. Cure the design again. Due to the thicker layer, you can extend the curing time to 60 seconds in a MultiLed lamp.
  8. Apply a thin layer of Bold & Beautiful without pressing the brush against the nail surface. Before curing, place the magnet on the nail surface to achieve the desired effect. If necessary, adjust the particle position by moving the magnet over the nail surface. Once the desired effect is achieved, carefully remove the magnet and cure the design for 30 seconds in the MultiLed lamp.
  9. Apply a second coat of Bold & Beautiful. Reapply the magnet and arrange the particles according to your desired effect. Then cure the design for 30 seconds in the MultiLed lamp.
  10. You can even out the cuticle area and side folds using the Master Nail Art brush 004 or 006.
  11. Secure the style with a top coat, e.g. Hugo Gloss or Anti Scratch, and place your hands under the lamp again for 30-60 seconds.
  12. Wait about 60 seconds for the top to cool.
  13. If you chose a top coat with a sticky layer*, remove it with a cotton pad soaked in Shea Super Shine Effect Cleaner.
  14. To add even more shine to your nails, you can finally buff them with a dry cotton pad.

* You don't need to wipe off a non-sticky top coat with Shea Super Shine Effect Cleaner. After waiting 1 minute, you can apply your chosen Shea Elixir with keratin to the nail folds.

PRO TIP

When applying the Gel Polish, don't press the brush from the bottle against the nail surface. Lightly glide the product across the nail – this will help the color settle and level out more evenly, without leaving any streaks.

And with Bold & Beautiful, take a moment to play with light. Before curing the layer, look at the nail from different angles and fine-tune the reflection with a magnet. A few swipes are enough to transform the entire look.
